Durga Puja Exhibition at The Art Hive - Free Entry Reservation

A celebration of Bengal, craft and timeless elegance. Two days at The Art Hive, Andheri West - handwoven sarees, festive drapes and handcrafted treasures, curated by Namrata Mukherjee and laid out so you can pick things up, hold them to the light, and take them home the same day.

• Saturday, 12 September 2026 - 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Free.

Note the different closing times: Friday runs late to 8 PM, Saturday finishes at 5 PM. Pick your day above and come at any time within those hours. One reservation covers you; bring whoever you like. Coming both days? Reserve both - they are separate lists.

Discover four curated tables

Alongside the Namrata Weaves collection, four independent makers are bringing their own tables - a curated experience of flavours, craft and timeless artistry. All four are here on both days.

• Sweet Fix - Bengali fusion food by Romita Basu. Bengali flavours, reimagined - Posto Tart, the delicate earthiness of Bengal's beloved posto in a delightful new avatar; Kosha Tart, the bold slow-cooked flavours of a classic kosha reinvented in a bite-sized tart; and Pan Payesh, a nostalgic favourite with a fragrant twist of paan. On both 11th and 12th.
• Yugavi - bronze jewellery by Tanushree. Exquisite bronze jewellery inspired by heritage, crafted with love.
• Jute Story - handmade jute decor. Handcrafted jute pieces for your home and lifestyle.
• Indu Nair - crafted jewellery. Timeless handcrafted jewellery that celebrates grace, tradition and beauty.

On the Namrata Weaves table

• Handwoven sarees - most of them existing in one or two pieces only

Premium designs at an affordable range. Nothing is roped off, nothing is behind glass. Everything is available to take home that day.

Why reserve, if it is free?

Because the room has a limit. We are taking 100 reservations a day, and when a day is full we close it. A crowded room is a bad way to look at handloom.

Reserving costs you nothing and commits you to nothing. It just means we are expecting you, and your name is at the door.

Saturday evening: Boithakhana

Everything above is free. There is exactly one ticketed session across the two days, and this is it.

On Saturday 12 September, from 6 PM to 9 PM, after the exhibition closes at 5, the same room changes completely. The tables come down, the floor seating and bolsters come out, the lanterns go on, and it becomes a boithakhana - the front room of an old Bengali house, where people turned up in the evening and stayed longer than they meant to.

• Jhaal muri in a paper thonga, mixed in front of you
• Cha in a bhar - real unglazed clay cups
• Egg devil, veg chop, samosa and mishti, in rounds, all evening
• Keyur Kar live - vocalist, guitarist and storyteller, playing old Bollywood, soulful Bengali songs and timeless favourites through the evening, close enough to ask for a song

Rs 1,499 per person, and there is no second bill inside. But it is a much smaller room that way: thirty seats, one room, one night, and unlike the exhibition it is ticketed and non-refundable, because a seat you book is a seat somebody else is turned away for.

If you are already coming in the daytime, the evening is the natural other half of it - you will have seen the pieces, and this is where you sit down with them. Reserve your Boithakhana seat here before it fills.

Good to know

Do I have to pay anything at the door?

No. The daytime exhibition is free on both days. You only pay if you decide to take something home, or if you book the Saturday Boithakhana evening separately.

Can I bring family?

Yes. One reservation is enough for the people coming with you.

Is there parking?

Chandak Unicorn Dattaji has visitor parking, and Veera Desai Road is easy to reach from both the Metro and the Western Express Highway.

What if I cannot make it?

Nothing happens - it is free. But if you know in advance, tell us and we will put the spot back for someone else.
